Sierra Leone’s Disgruntled Youths
Sierra Leone’s Disgruntled Youths: Chester Yang was a theatre artist when he fled the civil war 20 years ago, he now returns to Sierra Leone to reconnect with his past and to understand why Sierra Leone has not made any progress since the end of the civil war in 2003. Chester takes viewers into a journey to discover the hustling historic city of Freetown, the neglected countryside, meeting disgruntled youths from the dumpsite to the illegal diamond mines, genuinely showing how the people are living on the edge of a harsh society.
Sierra Leone’s Disgruntled Youths can now be watched on Prime and African Diaspora Network TV.
